Dear Senior Yoga Teacher
Let me help you fill your cup again
Do you long for the feeling yoga once gave you and for the joy you felt when teaching it? Do you feel guilty for not practicing what you preach – whether that might be a daily home practice or moments of self-care?
Do you want to scream out loud that being a yoga teacher is damn hard & not as effortless as Instagram makes people believe? Do you love yoga with all of your heart and question where that love has left you? Where you have lost it? Do you wish back the old days, when things just happened, everything was in a state of flow and it all felt so easy, light and joyful?
Do you feel a hint of anger and resentment when you see a yogi sharing her perfect morning routine and her idyllic self-practice? Do you smile at the naïve enthusiasm yogis feel when dreaming of becoming a full-time yoga teacher? Do you feel overwhelmed when looking at your schedule and all the tasks at hand? Do you feel resistance to teaching tonight’s class?
What you might experience, is very common for senior yoga teachers.
You might think it is only you, when in fact, every senior yoga teacher I know, has gone through it.
Including myself.
Yes, we burn out, too. As we have a tendency to enjoy giving, enjoy holding space for others, say yes to opportunities coming our way, and often times are better at giving freely than receiving or asking for what we need – it is no wonder, that we fall into exhaustion, and end up feeling drained and empty.
Even though I was living my dharma, doing what I love, I felt drained and exhausted. The joy and lightness I once felt for yoga, was completely gone.
After soul-searching and working with different coaches during the past 2 years, I learnt to fill my own cup again. I had to learn to nourish myself first, before thinking about others. I had to pause, look within and reconnect with myself. To find my sweetness, my softness. To rekindle my joy and expansive being.
Today, I support senior yoga teachers and studio owners to overcome their exhaustion, their sense of lack, their fear of missing out and saying no, and their feeling of being lost and alone.
I support you in rekindling your joy, to find your flow again, to re-align with your soul’s mission and your dharma. I’m here to help you fill your cup again and feel nourished, so you can step back into your power & your full potential.
