On Motherhood
Recently I was invited to be a speaker in a soul-lead panel-discussion on "Motherhood".
It was beautiful with what honesty participants shared their experience of motherhood. Even though we had very different stories, we could easily relate to one another. The challenges are different, and yet we all have been through similar ones.
I post the 60min discussion here, because I believe it is of immense value, if we take off our masks and share from the heart -without filters. There is no judgement, no shame, no finger pointing - there is an honest encounter of truth - a space for truthfulness being shared and finding common ground.
“You, too went through this? I’m not alone?” - having more of these moments, makes life rich and brings us together in an honest and open way.
Thank you to all the speakers - you are amazing! And I’m humbled by your strength and your vulnerability in sharing your struggles.
About this panel discussion:
Deciding to become a mother is one thing, being one is a whole other story.
After our incredible speakers shared their stories on a panel discussion and how motherhood challenged them, we are coming together to share how we experience it and find new tools to support us in being the mothers we deserve to be.
Some of the speakers will join us to bring their knowledge to you.
During these gatherings, we share with heart how we truly experience motherhood. Not only the celebratory ones but also the ones that drive us nuts.
We go on a journey and explore these practices:
- Listening without interpretations and judgment.
- Discovering our emotional influence on how we respond in stressful situations.
- Practicing and improving the ability to listen and communicate our feelings.
- Slowing down during a time of stress and overwhelm.
- Regulation and understanding of our nervous system and brain function.
- Including breathing practices to increase our awareness and thought patterns and other supportive tools.
